October is for PUMPKIN POPPIES
The Blue Pelican
The gallery will no longer be open First Fridays Y'all are invited to stop in 12-4 every day but Tuesday/Wednesday. It is a friendly, warm place to see art and visit with Suzi. Come play Cribbage, practice your guitar, just sit a spell.
As the Corn Moon changes to the Hunter's Moon, I continued painting these amazing matilija poppies outside my window and only one blossom remains. As this is my first autumn in this lovely gallery, I was overjoyed to see this big poppy bush come to life in July. I've captured about 25 blossoms in watercolor and they look amazing in small 7x5 frames. Please stop by the gallery to see them before the end of October when I will depart for the Capitola Plein Air competition once again.
The gallery will remain open, and Ms. Laura Lee Fritz will manage everything in my absence. She is a delight and I hope you can meet this talented and delightfull woman.
Starting again on November 16, every other Monday from 12:00 to 2:00, portrait artists are invited to meet at the gallery. Kindly bring your own easel and gear. Hot tea water is provided. Models vary. $10
